Operational security and governance

My professional experience combines systems and infrastructure administration with cybersecurity, giving me a broad view of both operational IT and security challenges.

On the infrastructure side, I contribute to day-to-day operations, incident resolution, end-user support, and the administration of core IT services.

On the cybersecurity side, I have worked on operational security in Microsoft-based environments, including the implementation of security controls, backup and resilience topics, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.

I have also contributed to governance and compliance initiatives, including ISO 27001-related work, security reporting, KPI monitoring, and security awareness activities.

This combination of infrastructure, security, and governance has allowed me to work across a wide range of technical and organizational topics, while maintaining a strong focus on operational security and risk reduction.

I have also gained experience managing business-critical communication systems, including VoIP environments.

Internship

Cybersecurity in a sensitive environment

I completed my final-year internship in the financial sector, within a major banking and insurance organization.

I worked on a proof of concept (PoC) involving the evaluation and comparison of multiple antivirus solutions in an enterprise environment. The goal was to assess their effectiveness, integration constraints, and suitability for large-scale deployment.

This experience gave me insight into security challenges in highly regulated and critical infrastructures, as well as the constraints of deploying security solutions in complex enterprise environments.
